Known by most Bible Believers as Baptism, the act of Ritual Immersion, that is "Mikvah" in Hebrew (though to be immersed is called "Tevilah"), is a Jewish concept based off the Torah and the TaNaK (A.K.A. The Old Testament). This act is entwined with being Born Again, another concept most believe is Christian, but in actual fact goes back to ancient times, well before the exchange with Rebbe Y'shua and Nicodemus. This is why Y'shua is genuinely surprised at Nicodemus' lack of understanding of this teaching.
This video delves into Biblical Ritual Water Immersion; what's required, why it's done and shatters the notion of its Christian approach both in its practice, reasoning and its frequency in a student's life.
