Kenya has signed a memorandum of understanding with Danish shipping line Maersk to start offering locally trained sea fearers with work experience on the sea. Maritime and Shipping Principal Secretary Geoffrey Kaituko, says the training is part of a number of agreements that will also see Denmark equip Bandari Maritime College with modern facilities.
