Orlyn 6018 - Chicago IL USA 1966. This group started out as the Artie & the Night Trippers as early as 1964. Guitarist Robert "Bo" Blider joined and they became Half Pint and The Fifths. Their only output is this single and could today be counted as a garage classic due to the inclusion of Orphan Boy in the Back From The Grave series from Crypt. This is a remake of the Larry Nestor written soul tune made famous by Phil Orsi. This sounds not much like that. It was supposed to have been recorded by the fellow Chicago band Renaissance but most of that band got drafted so Phil Orsi beat them to it. Top side Orphan Boy was ALSO written by Larry Nestor btw - a story based on a young homeless pool hustler whom he had met in the 60's. The group threw in the towel in 1967.
