Today we think of canned food as widely accessible, but originally only the rich and military elite could afford it. Yara opens the lid on this classist history while making a gourmet meal with mostly canned ingredients ... and the help of his robot frenemy, Karen.

1 can of chopped green chilies
1 eight-ounce can of pineapple
1 medium onion
4 cloves of garlic
A few stalks of kale
1 large tomato
1 green bell pepper
1/2 Tbsp fish sauce
1 Tbsp brown sugar
3 Tbsp red curry paste
