Elliott Shavers was born in Waco, Texas on November 15, 1930. He relocated to Los Angeles at some point in life and launced a career as a blues/R&B singer. Shavers recorded close to thirty sides between 1961 & 1967, for small labels such as Imco, Ellen, Swingin', Raja, Zan-Dan, Blaun & Magnum. At least two of his records were big enough in the West Coast region that they were picked up for national issue by King and Checker. It is not known whether or not that Shavers is still living.
