Up to 300-thousand Kurds may have left Sulaymaniyah, heading for the nearby mountains and the border with Iran after Saddam Hussein's Kurdish allies captured the city.
In another development, Saddam declared a general amnesty for all Kurds, including members of the rebel Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (P-U-K).

It shows them marching on the road to Sulaymaniyah.
