The car chase from the original movie with and from H.B. Halicki.
In 1974 he brought us Gone In 60 Seconds.
The 36 minute car chase is stunning, and ofcourse without the CGI
, because in that time we had no CGI.
Just plain old car chasing with real stuntmen.
Here`s a kind of remux.
Enjoy..............
BTW the tag was: You can lock your car. But if he wants it…it’s GONE IN 60 SECONDS!
Detail: The scene where the Mustang tags a car on the highway and spins into a telephone pole was a real accident. Star/director H.B. Halicki was badly hurt and filming was stopped while he recovered. The scene was left in.
And: The final "big jump" went 30 feet high and cleared 128 feet; Halicki suffered a compressed spine in the landing.
Also nice to know is this:
"You don’t seem to understand, we gotta deliver 48 cars to the dock by Saturday".
