Jake Johnson makes his directorial debut in Self Reliance, a film in which he also stars as sad sack Tommy, who lives at home with his mother. So when shady Scandinavian industrialists offer him $1 million to be hunted for a month on a dark web TV show (provided he survives), he says yes. Things only get more surreal from there though, including when he meets online Maddy (Anna Kendrick), a woman who's also being hunted on the same reality series... and seems pretty chill about the whole thing.
