This is one of the last videos from our Tail of the Dragon Trip (Deals Gap/ US 129). I am riding a 2014 Yamaha R1. My buddies are riding a 2008 Suzuki GSX-R, 2007 Honda CBR600rr, and a 2013 Yamaha R1.
This video starts off with my desperate gas search because my gas light had been on for about 20 miles and we could not find a gas station anywhere. I stopped and grabbed food at the Wendys drive-thru and the employees loved my motorcycle. I also saw a Porsche an orange Porsche 911 Carrera GTS at the gas station. Would you consider Porsche an exotic car brand? I’ve heard otherwise.
After that we hit the Tail of the dragon for some fun. We used my Drone (DJI Mavic Air 2) to get some awesome shots of the dam and ran into some awesome Harley riders. We passed the Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort, some photographers from Killboy.com, and some police officers (sherrifs).
When we made it to the scenic overlook we found a 2006 Honda CBR600rr with 91,000 miles on it!!! It was a true testament to Honda reliability. Although the rider did state that the top end was loosing compression and needed to be rebuilt. It was an awesome thing to see someone that genuinely loves riding and has a true connection with their bike.
We also saw a 2020 Yamaha R6 and a 2020 Ducati Panigale V2.
I am filming on a GoPro Hero 7 (motovlog set up) and a Sony a6400.
