The Tetseo Sisters perform their incredibly popular Naga Li song O Rhosi along with audience support. Fused with the rhythmic guitar, there is an immense free spirited feel to the song.

The Tetseo Sisters Mütsevelü (Mercy), Azine (Azi), Kuvelü (Kuku) and Alüne (Lulu) live in Kohima, the capital of Nagaland, and belong to the Chakhesang Naga tribe, one of the major Naga tribes. They sing in Chokri, the dialect of the region around Phek. From early days, their parents acquainted the girls with Li, the traditional songs of their home region.

The Tetseo Sisters are four sisters with a repertoire of folk songs from Nagaland.

We sing our "Li" in the Chokri dialect of the Chakhesang Naga tribe of Nagaland and our songs are often accompanied by the age old Naga one stringed instrument, the Tati / Heka Libuh.

We are trying to keep the tribal Naga tradition of folk singing alive, and in our songs, we tell the stories of our people, their joys and sorrows, hopes and aspirations.

O Rhosi is a one of the liveliest Li we have ever come across and the melody totally captures the spirit of the song. Here's a song which accompanies dancing.
A song favoured at festivities to express happiness and excitement.
A song to inspire gladness and lightness of heart.

The song goes in Chokri as:

Dumi hono, küpra phi hohe. Küpra to ri, nerü khro ho le.

Khreküsane, haye to lula? Ye kü to sü uko hi mo me? Tsü zo sahi, hali tso veho.

Translated, it says:

All gathered here, first among equals.
We are called to come together,
To give our best and do our most.

One for every new day.
