Joe Bonsall, long-time tenor of The Oak Ridge Boys, passed away at 76 due to ALS complications. Born in 1948, Bonsall joined the group in 1973, contributing to hits like "Elvira" and "American Made." The Oak Ridge Boys, inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2015, recently announced a farewell tour. Bonsall authored 11 books, including an upcoming memoir, "I See Myself." Despite retiring in January due to his illness, he continued to inspire fans. The group has faced multiple losses this year, including the death of William Lee Golden's son. Bonsall is survived by his wife Mary Ann, daughters Jennifer and Sabrina, and grandchildren. The family requests donations to ALS-related charities in lieu of flowers. No funeral service will be held.
