[ Ссылка ] Autobytel is releasing a Dealer Insight Series in an effort to educate car dealers across the country on shopping behaviors, sales statistics, and online buying trends in the automotive space. This video will specifically be talking about online buying trends and how understanding these ideas will ultimately leads consumers to buy from you.
Autobytel has been in business for 18 years now and we have seen the industry change a lot over the years. Now the next generation of car shoppers are here and they use online resources much more rather than visiting the dealerships. Years ago the consumers that came into your show room were baby boomers who are very brand loyal. That generation is being replaced by Gen X and Gen Y. These generations are influenced by social media, reputation, and online reviews.
Industry studies have proven that more and more car buyers are going online. A couple of these car buying trends state:
-New vehicle buyers spend 11.5 hours online
-37% of shoppers enter the market without a specific brand in mind
-59% of consumers don't decide which vehicle to buy until the last week
-New vehicle shoppers consider an average of 3.3 vehicles
-The number of lot visits has declined from an average of 4.6 visits in 2005 to 1.6 visits in 2012
