This video shows how to perform a cheap fix for a Volvo Penta 3.0 SX that is not going in to forward gear but engages reverse just fine. This is not a mechanical cable fix. I am not a boat mechanic and this is not the correct way to fix the issue, but my only alternative was to replace the entire Drive unit according to several other boat mechanics that prefer to do for replacements rather than rebuild anything.
