Making a 3.5 meter (measured from still water surface) high splash at the Matrix yard at Twente University
2 cubic meter of water is released instantaneously which creates a soliton wave: a single wave that keeps speed and shape along a channel. (and also a bore, this depends on depth of the water)
at the end the wave is compressed between the walls and it creates a splash.
