Welcome to 24K Gold Music Shows!
“Walking The Dog” was recorded by Rufus Thomas and released on his 1963 album Walking The Dog. It was his biggest hit, reaching number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in December 1963 and remaining on the Hot 100 for 14 weeks.
The song was recorded in 1964 by the Rolling Stones featuring harmony vocals on the chorus solely by Brian Jones. Walkin’ The Dog has always been widely received by audiences and many big name artists of the era either performed or recorded this song.
As 24K Gold Music Shows begins this song, Doyle introduces it by saying, ”It’s such a goofy song, that you can’t help but want to do it”. Yes! It is goofy, but the entire team always enjoyed performing this oldies classic. The junior dancers join the girls to fill the stage with fun as we present our own unique cover version of “Walkin’ The Dog”.
