In this video, we will show you our king sized suite and review the Hotel Indigo Exeter. It is located in the heart of Exeter city centre and it has a great location to explore Exeter. We parked at one of the car parks of the nearby shopping centre area.

The building of the Indigo Hotel in Exeter was originally the home of Colsons a department store opened in 1792 and later it was renamed to House of Fraser. You can still see some features of the former shopping center such as the original staircase and the glass dome. In 2021 the building was converted into this boutique IHG hotel. Hotel Indigo Exeter opened in December 2022. We stayed in a Super King Suite, the room number was 309. Most rooms are actually quite small in this hotel so in this Super King Suite we had a little bit more room. The room had a comfy king-sized bed as you can see, a rainshower and a luxury bathtub.

If you book a Suite room at the OHtel Indigo Exeter we advise you to try to get a room a bit higher. Apparently, my husband Paul heard some chairs scraping at 4 a.m. or something in the morning.

The hotel also has a gym. It is conveniently located in Exeter City centre and you have shops and restaurants right on your doorstep. The breakfast was a bit underwhelming for a 4 star boutique hotel. The food we ordered to the table was of low quality and quite a small portion and the buffet was very limited. At least they had some fresh berries so that was something good.

To summarize, the Hotel Indigo in Exeter has a great location when visiting Exeter and lovely modern rooms. You can also get breakfast at one of the nearby restaurants which might be better.
