NAVY PROMOTION: Eastern Naval Command Decorates Officers With New Ranks
The Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), Eastern Naval Command of the Nigerian Navy, Calabar, Rear Admiral David Adeniran has charged the newly promoted officers of the command to be of good conduct and utterances in the discharge of their duties.
Rear Admiral Adeniran said this at the headquarters of the Eastern Naval Command in Calabar, Cross River State, while decorating some officers of the command with their new ranks.
This followed recent approval of promotion of about 140 officers to various senior ranks by the Naval Board.
Addressing the newly promoted officers, Rear Admiral Adeniran and other senior officers described the promotion as a means of encouraging them to be more committed to duties and service to their fatherland.
He urged them to increase their service delivery to the country and see their new promotion as a charge to work harder.

Speaking with newsmen after their decoration, the Commanding Officer of the Navy Forward Operating Base, Bonny, Commodore Kolawole OGUNTUGA commended the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas for finding them worthy to be promoted.
He reiterated that the Eastern Naval Command will continue to protect its waterways against sea piracy and all forms of illegal activities.

The Chief of the Naval Staff rejoiced with the newly promoted officers and their families, charging them to rededicate themselves to duty and remain loyal to the country, as well as the President of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
