This Bible study devotional covers Psalms 42 and 43. In this passage, a homesick and hunted priest begs God to be near him and rescue him from his enemies. But this priest can sing even in exile, because he trusts God to be his security and deliverer from his dark, stormy circumstances.
As always, we are committed to showing you how to see the good news of the Gospel in every passage of Scripture. In Psalms 42 and 43, we see that Jesus was the ultimate homeless priest in exile. He willingly abandoned all comforts and let go of life itself, so that by rising from the dead, he could lead those who trust him to a home of life and joy with God.
