Prva autorska pjesma sastava Captain's Daughter & the Sailors. Pjesma „The Story of a Sailor“ prati mornara koji svoju utjehu i zaborav traži u čaši nakon što su mu morske nemani otele djevu. Nakon mnogo ispražnjenih boca piva, mornar shvaća da mu nijedna žena više neće moći upotpuniti radost, stoga se vraća na svoj brod i svojoj vjernoj posadi i nastavlja dalje ploviti morem koji smiruje njegov duh. Za tekst je zaslužan Dino Dolenec, a za glazbu CDS. Vokali: Ivan-Goran Herman i Viktor Herman.
[ENG]
This is our first original song about a sailor who tries to drown his sorrow in many pints of beer after he lost his lady. After many drunken nights he realizes that no woman can fulfill him more like the ship he swore to so he drunkenly stands up and keeps on sailing with his loyal crew.
Lyrics: Dino Dolenec
Music: CDS
Vocals: Ivan-Goran Herman, Viktor Herman

Lyrics:
The Story of a Sailor
He left at noon from hell to soon
Went on to drink whole month of June
Forget the things he saw back there
What demons fear but sailors dare
He drank two pints with stars at night
Two more he chugged the sails unite
Then came the beast up from the sea
Scavenged him of his lady
Sailors of the Irish sea
With freedom on our back
Drink thy ale for seven gales
Until we're in the sack
The story of a sailor is all we ever knew
Forget the pain and drink away
But never forget your crew
As he sailed to find his part
At Galway found a new sweetheart
A golden gal with bright eyes blue
And on her arm a rose tattoo
His heart was locked but as he walked
The mind and soul to him they talked
"No woman can fulfill you more
than the ship to which you swore"
Sailors of the Irish sea
With freedom on our back
Drink thy ale for seven gales
Until we're in the sack
The story of a sailor is all we ever knew
Forget the pain and drink away
But never forget your crew
The Irish seas he did but miss
The Captain’s daughter when he kissed
Hoist the sails, packed his charms
His mates to greet with open arms
Sailors of the Irish sea
With freedom on our back
Drink thy ale for seven gales
Until we're in the sack
The story of a sailor is all we ever knew
Forget the pain and drink away
But never forget your crew
