Gov. Gavin Newsom said Friday his administration would introduce a new legislative package to address concerns about organized retail theft crime in California. Speaking with Attorney General Rob Bonta and other officials in the Bay Area, Newsom said the package would include $255 million in competitive grants for law enforcement agencies as part of the budget he plans to submit in January.
