The FDA has proposed some changes to food labels, which have generated lots of discussion. Bottom line – I don’t think any of this is going to help, but here are my comments.
And, while folic acid fortification is standard in the US, not all experts think that this is a good idea. This is not surprising – folic acid is not the same as folate in food!
