STORYLINE:
A 17-year old person died after being injured at a protest against curfews in two towns in southeast Turkey, the private Dogan news agency reported on Tuesday.
Police used stun grenades and water cannons against protesters in Diyarbakir demonstrating against government imposed curfews to flush out militants from urban areas in Turkey's mostly Kurdish southeast.
About 2,000 people were demonstrating.
Curfews in Cizre town in Sirnak province and in Sur town in Diyarbakir province have been continuing for about two months.
A two-and-a-half year peace process between Turkey's government and the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK, broke down in July 2015, reviving three decades of conflict that has cost more than 40,000 lives.
The PKK has been fighting government forces for self-rule for Kurds in the mainly Kurdish southeast since 1984.
