The early 2000s were full of amazing strategy games, games like AoE, CnC, Warcraft etc. but my personal favorite has always been the Stronghold series.
With it's amazing gameplay systems, beautiful soundtrack and insane level of detail it is still an incredible RTS in 2023 and definitely worth your time. For me it might even be one of the all time best.
