The Republican Party's 2022 midterm "autopsy" is underway, and the higher ups at the Party are still baffled as to why the public doesn't like them. The answer is simple, and it doesn't even involve the word "Trump." The public continues to reject the Republican Party because they have absolutely nothing to offer them. Farron Cousins expands upon this very simple, yet somehow not completely obvious, answer.

One, the Republican party is still conducting its autopsy report, if you want to call it that, of the pathetic showing that they had in the 2022 midterms. Even though granted they did win the house, they didn't get the 70 seat advantage that they had predicted a couple months ago. They were going to get, they, they have a five seat advantage. So yeah, five's a little bit smaller than 70. I know my math's a little rusty, but I do remember greater than and less than, and five is less than 70. So they're trying to figure out what went wrong, right? They've got this group put together. Loser Blake Masters is on the group. Kellyann. Conways in the group. Uh, Tony Perkins is in the group trying to figure out what went wrong. But the answer really is simple. And believe it or not, the answer, the actual real answer as to why voters are rejecting the Republican party in overwhelming numbers has nothing to do with the name Donald Trump.
It can all be boiled down to one simple point that Republicans will never understand, and that is you as a party offer the voters nothing. There isn't a single Republican policy that has been passed, honestly, maybe even in my entire lifetime, that has made the lives of working class people in this country better. There is not one Republican law that I can think of in my lifetime, again, that Republicans passed and the American working class said, oh wow, this wow. Look at the benefits I have. Look at what is better in my life because of what the grand old party gave me throughout my entire life. The Republican Party has stood for two things. One, making sure people can't have abortions, and the second, and this is the thing, they focus most of their attention on cutting taxes for the wealthy, trickle down economics. I was born in the Reagan era and they have held onto those two things.
Ever since then, they haven't stopped. Every time a Republican gets in power, what do we get? We get tax cuts for the wealthy. What else do we get? Every Republican president in my lifetime has presided over at least one recession during their administration. That's not a coincidence. That is the result of their economic policies. Republicans hate unions. They don't want you to have worker protections. They've openly advocated for abolishing the minimum wage altogether. They're coming out against you having vacation time against you, having paid parental leave. Hell, they decided that their policies were so unpopular that they didn't even put out a policy platform this year in this election. That was Mitch
McConnell's idea. When Rick Scott decided to finally put out a policy platform, guess what it called for? Killing Social Security and Medicare. That's how bad they are at policy. So if Republicans really want to do an autopsy report, find out what the hell is wrong with him. Why do people hate us? Look at what you've provided for them for the last 40 years because it's nothing. Not that I want them to learn this lesson, and I'm confident I can say this because I know they're not gonna take my advice, but it really is that simple. You want the working class to vote for you past policies that benefit the working class. You want the younger generation to vote for. You focus on economic issues, not culture war issues that the younger generations, by the way, vast majority of them are on the opposite side of the culture wars from you. You are turning off more and more voters because you're too stupid to know that your policies are what's unpopular. The lack of action for the working class is what's unpopular. Your continued attacks on the working class are what's unpopular. If they ever figure that out, maybe they can write the ship, but I'm willing to bet they're gonna learn absolutely nothing from all their failures.
