Today's mini video on English pronunciation is on the 8 diphthongs or double vowel sounds in British RP (received pronunciation) English. Another strange word in the world of pronunciation!
In the video I show you the 8 diphthong vowel sounds (in fact, diphthongs are 2 vowel sounds which glide together to make a combined sound).
Plus, I give you an example word with the diphthong in it (the sound highlighted in blue). So, by the end of the video you will have heard me reading the 8 diphthong sounds (also look at my mouth movement closely), which are part of the phonemic chart.
