The archives and records of voluntary organisations hold many clues to how charities addressed major challenges in the past, from domestic crises to humanitarian disasters. But how can these records help us today? Historian Georgina Brewis introduces her research into charity archives and explains how the secrets they hold can help influence how voluntary organisations respond to challenges now and in the future.
