Jax is one of the lucky ones. He gets to enjoy seeing, talking and laughing with his son every day. When Jax sees his son, he has only one regret pertaining to abortion. The fact he even thought about it.
When I hear stories like his, I have to wonder. How many women would have chosen to carry their pregnancies to term, had the would-be father showed support, rather than pressure? It took a lot of courage to stand up for the son he hadn’t met yet.
This silence is the true villain in the abortion conversation. It keeps men (and women) from completing the grieving and healing process. It causes division in families and marriages. And worst of all enables a vicious cycle of young men making a quick decision that has deadly and lifelong consequences.
We must change the stigma of men when it comes to the abortion conversation. Men want to be heard. They need to be heard. They deserved to be heard.
