So, what is this magical new scale we are learning in this guitar lesson? We call it the Mixolydian pentatonic scale, and I'll go into detail here as to why we call it that. Firstly, when we say 'pentatonic' this simply means a 5 note scale. It very very commonly get's attached to the minor pentatonic scale, but can essentially be any 5 note scale.
