This is a educational video on the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of retrograde cricopharyngeal dysfunction (R-CPD), otherwise known as the "No Burp Syndrome". This is a debilitating disorder where people have the life long problem of not being able to burp. This results in chest pain, stomach bloating, gurgling sounds from the throat and flatulence. Thankfully, we now have a very effective treatment for this disorder, botulinum toxin or botox injection of the cricopharygeus muscle.
