Not quite Northern but a great song in its own right . Released on London American in August 1964 and also as part of a terrific 4 track E.P. Lou Johnson recorded some great sides such as " Reach out for me" ,"Magic Potion" and of course ,his Northern biggie "Unsatisfied". This is the original ,and such as it was back then ,moguls would travel to the states to pick up on the big songs and have their protoge's record them BEFORE the original was released. Sandie Shaw got the hit with this Bacherach /David song. Another example was Dionne Warwicks " Anyone who had a heart " which was murdered by Cilla Black. Ain't life a bitch....?
