I recently picked up my updated/upgraded Motion Ride E18 forks and I was keen to do a back-to-back test with my MRP Ribbon Coil forks I've had for the past year.
I booked an uplift day with Adrenalin Uplifts ( [ Ссылка ] ) at Innerleithen so I could get a bunch of runs down the Matador DH track.
I love that Motion Ride are thinking outside the box and showing there's more than one way to absorb bumps, the suppleness is unmatched and the suspension performance was amazing...no spiking, no packing with repeated hits and no harsh bottom outs.
The rebound can't carry over the same control however resulting in a harsh top out as soon as the fork extends to full travel.
It's a real shame as I think the performance is up there with the best I've tried, I think it was a bit better than my MRPs which have been my favourite forks but the top out really detracts from an otherwise great fork.
I'd also like to see a little more adjustment on the damper, as it stands the rebound and compression are the same dial so if you want a faster rebound the fork will act softer and if you want to slow it down the fork gets firmer...I used the fork in the first "firm" mode, any softer and the rebound was too fast any firmer and the fork felt a little muted. If they could get the rebound adjustment separate (as well as fix the top out) then I think these would be some of the best forks on the market, it's a shame a lot of people will be put off by the looks even if these issues are fixed.
Let me know what you think? Would you run them if they were better than anything else available? Would you run them if they were cheaper?
Thanks
