This is a fairly comprehensive video of the fitting of a Miller Custom II Euro 5 slip-on exhaust to my Honda CMX 500 Rebel 2020 motorcycle.
The Miller is the slash-cut option (of 3 options) with the matt black finish (out of matt black and chrome tip). The link to the Miller Custom website for motorbike exhaust is: [ Ссылка ]
I have shown comparisons to the original (standard exhaust), with and without the DB-killer, and also the sound on a smartphone for some bits.
The bulk of the footage was shot on a Panasonic Lumix FX38 hybrid camera, as this would easily fit on my tripod. The smartphone footage was from a Samsung Galaxy S22.
The bike had been running for around 30 mins (15 miles) before the hot-start.
The removal and fitting was very easy; the original had been on for around 5,000 miles, but gave no bother. I'm not sure the DB-killer removal kit was worth paying the extra for, it wasn't wedged in very tightly, like one video of another brand I have seen.
Personally, I was disappointed with the sound with the DB-killer in, but taken out it completely transforms the bike. Yes, it's loud, but in a fantastic way, and I'm sure there are louder pipes out on the road. Other bikers have rubber-necked as I've ridden past! There's lots of nice pops 'n' bangs on the overrun, and I didn't get tired of the sound on a long day's ride through mid-Wales recently; it was addictive!
I would definitely recommend the Miller; I hope it'll give me a lot of happy (and loud!) miles to come.
