EXCERPTS - This video is about the historic reasons that so many Central Americans are seeking asylum at the southern border. After Centuries of pillage, plunder, and genocide by Spain, England, and the US, the majority of Central Americans are poverty stricken. Written & directed by Agustín Lira, this show was performed on August 10th, 2019 at the Sal Mosqueda Center in Fresno CA. Teatro Inmigrante is a project of Teatro de la Tierra www.teatrotierraonline.org. This year-long theater project was created for the purpose of training community members in teatro, to create a new work, and to explore the root and causes of mass migration to our Southern border from Central America.
