New South Wales has reported 1,043 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases and 11 deaths, as Premier Gladys Berejiklian praises the state's rapidly increasing vaccination rates.
Of the new fatalities in the 24 hours to 8pm on Thursday, ten were unvaccinated. Five were women, six were men and they ranged in age from people in their 40s to those in their 90s.
