Possible solution to the Fermi paradox found! the Dark Forest Theory

 The universe is filled with stars, and this is no news, but nowadays we are also quite sure the universe is filled with the planet as well. I mean, observation had shown that we can find planets everywhere in the universe, and – given that a star can host multiple planets – planets are more numerous. So far, we discovered something like 5000 confirmed exoplanets, and this is a really small number to be able to make accurate predictions and science.

Fermi Paradox: The Rare Earth hypothesis

Basically, according to this hypothesis, life and the evolution of complexity require a combination of astrophysical and geological conditions that are simply not common in our Universe. In other words, we are quite special and unique.
If this hypothesis was true, we would be in a real messy situation.
Astronomy and mostly cosmology today assume the prevalence of intelligent life in our universe because we think the Universe is isotropic.

Could Earth be an extraterrestrial zoo?
