In his second State of the Union address, President Joe Biden urged members of Congress to ban assault weapons – reiterating a promise he made on the campaign trail in 2020. To discuss the president’s efforts and the state of gun control in the U.S., Tony Montalto, whose daughter Gina was shot and killed in the 2018 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and who now leads the group Stand with Parkland, joined the show.
