Less testing and more learning are the goals of a bill lawmakers talking about in Carson City Thursday afternoon.

Assemblyman Reuben D'Silva, also a Clark County School District high school history teacher, presented his bill to the Assembly Education Committee, which he is a member of.

He says from his personal experience, more time to learn from teachers and less time spent on testing, will benefit students more.

Assembly Bill 296 focuses on more classroom time, and limits time to prepare and take district-wide tests.
