You will need an internet connection, an email linked to a Microsoft / xbox account, a separate device on which to complete the sign in steps.
www.aka.ms/remoteconnect is the address you will need to go to on the separate device to sign in. Remember not to back out of the page on the Switch that displays the code or you will have to start the process again.
