J. F. F. Burgmüller: Innocence (No. 5 from 25 études faciles et progressives, Op. 100)
29/30
The opening flowed well. Pitch accuracy was excellent and only very occasional rhythms could have been more even. There was a very good tone produced which was shaped very effectively in this stylish and confident performance.
Elgar: Salut d’amour, Op. 12, arr. Jones
29/30
The beginning was very well shaped with effective use of rubato. Just one or two notes did not speak fully, otherwise this was a very well conceived performance with excellent pitch and rhythmic accuracy.
Sarah Watts: Scary Stuff (from Razzamajazz Repertoire Piano)
29/30
The start was well projected with excellent shaping. Only one or two rhythms could have been more even, otherwise stylistic understanding, pitch and shape were excellent.
Kuhlau: Sonatina
29/30
The beginning was very even in delivery. The melody was beautifully shaped with excellent gradation of tone and there were just two or three slight pitch slips, otherwise this was a highly sensitive and stylistic performance.
Performance as a whole
29/30
There was an impressive sense of communication and maturity in the pacing of the performance. All the styles were very well understood and interpreted with flair. Technical delivery was assured with only the most minor of occasional tiny slips in this confident and committed performance.
