It is the final week of the month and you know what that means. It's Style Study time!
And today we’re doing something completely different and taking a trip backwards into the 1800s, with the beautiful Romantic paintings of one of the old masters of portrait painting, Austrio-Hungarian oil painter, Friedrich von Amerling.
We study his style of painting, analyse his portraits and romanticism as a movement in art, and put it all together into a study of one of his beautiful pieces! The main focus of this video will be on how colour, contrast and drama play a vital role in the storytelling and readability of your art.
