2013 Adventure and Dualsport Motorcycle Boots Buying Guide [ Ссылка ]
So your middle name is Adventure, huh? Then this boot guide is for you. It was a good year for ADV boots and nearly all our picks are new comers with outstanding features for the ADV rider. The Dainese Carroarmato (easier to wear than pronounce) is a rugged, Gore-Tex boot for the rider who spends more time on tarmac than trails, AND proves you can be sexy and Adventurous simultaneously. The Sidi Armada Gore-Tex boot is the first convertible boot we've seen in this category that leads a double life, one part touring, one part dual sport. The TCX X-Desert offers tons in protection, but weighs in as the lightest boot on the table. The X-Desert was made for the Adventure Rider who spends slightly more time on road than off. The Alpinestars Toucan might conjure images of breakfast cereal, but is one of the more rugged, beefy boot options in this line-up. The Toucan uses a breathable Gore-Tex waterproof membrane, has ample protection for single track and trails, and is still considerably lighter than its MX counterparts. The Sidi Adventure is still our King of the Hill when it comes to ADV boots for the serious ADV rider. If you use your ADV bike for trips to the local Starbucks, this isn't the boot for you, but if you ride to the hills of Costa Rica to pick your favorite java beans, then the Sidi Adventure (Rain or Gore-Tex) won't let you down. Any boot in this line up should serve as inspiration to get out there and ride, even if no one knows your middle name.
