Bengal BJP leaders have written a letter to Election Commission over the law and order situation in Bengal and requested early deployment of central forces in the state ahead of the 2021 assembly election. Bengal BJP MLA Sabyasachi Dutta said, “It’s worse than Kashmir. BJP wants the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) imposed in Bengal urgently. This is as per Section 15 of Representation of People’s Act.”
