Week 21 has been interesting because I've been on vacation and I've never tried to lose weight while on vacation before. So far, everyone has been keto around me so it makes it super easy to stay on track. The hardest part of this is not being able to snack. Honestly, snacking on keto is hard in general because you're really limited in what you can have.
We went to see Toy Story 4 and it was incredibly hard to stay out of my kids popcorn. I settled for a coke zero to keep me distracted.
I discovered Swerve has a huge website full of recipes and a whole section of them are keto! Check it out! Made the Boston Cream Poke Cake and it was a crowd pleaser!
As for staying on track... I'm so busy here that I haven't really been tempted by food. I find that seems to be the case for my entire weight loss journey this far. The busier I keep myself the less I want to eat out of boredom.
Obviously, I wish I had a bigger loss this week because my macros have been great but I'm happy with another 2 pounds gone. I think these are legit fat pounds coming off now because it's coming off slower. My clothes have been getting so loose! I went to Target and just for fun grabbed 5 things all in XL or misses 16 and brought them into the fitting room. It was the first time I didn't even look in the plus size section of a store. I'm not a person who cries easily but if I was, I probably would have been crying hard when each piece I put on fit. Most were even loose so I could have maybe squeezes into a 14. My words of wisdom for this week is to trust the process. I started off my journey loosing weight rapidly, like 24 pounds my first month. It has slowed each month but I never gave up. I cheated MANY times during my journey, each time learning more about the journey. If I had a bad day or a bad week of eating, I just hit the restart button and got back on the wagon. I didn't give up and it showed me I am strong and capable of winning this battle. I calculated how many pounds I gained and had to re-lose since I started and it was an extra 20 pounds. So if I hadn't cheated all those times I would have been down to the 220s now instead of the 240s. BUT, each time I learned a lot about my reasons for changing my life. If I hadn't failed all those times maybe I wouldn't be so committed now in my journey.
