In this video I open the best selling 1988 Korg M1* synthesizer to install a new battery. The factory presets are loaded back onto the machine using ROM cards and through MIDI with a computer.

The procedure shown here is pretty much the same for all members in the family, and all can load the M1 presets:

Note for PC users:
For PC often the program MidiOX is advertised as tool for SysEx dumps, but it is pretty complex. I think the C6 SysEx app by Elektron, which is freeware, is closest in operation to the showcased SysEx Librarian.
