Little Boots and Joyce Muniz’s collaboration single, ‘Strange Girl’ tells the familiar tale of an illicit tryst; a trope within House music that connects and inspires many of its protagonists.
In its original form, Joyce Muniz constructs a deeply emotive groove of warm rhodes, snappy laser fx and bubbling acid sweeps which perfectly soundtrack Little Boots honeyed vocals.

Using every ounce of studio skill, Shadow Child reconstructs his remix as a spiky, energetic Detroit-meets-Dirtybird hybrid. Bouncy gated synths lead the way as Little Boots vocals act as siren calls bathed in reverb punctuated by moments of absolute Larry Heard-esque soulful deepness.

Keeping things suitable raw and basement-like, Black Loops turn in a highly sensual vocal and dub reimagination. Firstly, opting for a phaser-rich classic deep house vibe with crunchy drums and sparse, floaty percussions, Little Boots vocals slot neatly among the free played rhodes keys, live slap bass and off-kilter FX.
