This is a 2014 Silverado with only 74K miles on it, previously bone stock. An AFM lifter collapsed on it and GM would do NOTHING about it! So, my brother and I tore it down and installed a Texas Speed Stage I L83 Gen V Truck cam in it, along with all new lifters, hardened pushrods, dual valve springs, titanium retainers, and a trunion kit in the rocker arms. It was tuned by Mail Order Tuner for 87 octane. It starts, idles, and revs out perfectly. We also did a muffler and flap delete, leaving the two resonators. Initial fuel economy looks to be at least as good as stock with AFM. This is a daily driver that is driven 50+ miles/day, so fuel economy was a primary concern.
