Though this bass is clearly made in the mold of a Magnum IV, this bass has an unusual setup with the neck pickup, which is a multi-coil, AlNiCo V spec build, located in the more traditional P-Bass location, also known as the "Sweet Spot". This arrangement gives this bass a remarkable sonic advantage over the rest of the Magnum series. It would have been nice if they would have done this from the start along with the split coil bridge pickup. Regardless, the pickup and it's location along with the active electronics found in the II and IV give it an organic girth that affords for it to rival any of your classic basses of the day. Here, I am ham fisting with the wide-open sound of the "Modern Stack" bass amp modeler found in Garageband
