Someone asked me the other day where I buy fertiliser from. My answer to that is I DON’T BUY IT, on our farm we make our own from organic materials we already have on the property! What’s one of our "secret" recipes? A fertiliser that can be applied to a variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs and ornamentals without nutrient burning them yet still supplying sufficient bacterias/micorgainsms/nutrients to boost growth & health of the plant you ask? Here it is:
1 Part Alpaca Manure (Even with its lower organic content, alpaca manure is considered a rich soil conditioner. Alpaca fertiliser improves the soil quality and its ability to retain water. It is also good for plants, providing a fair amount of nitrogen and potassium and about average levels of phosphorus, Gardeningknowhow.com, 2019 Other manures can be used if you don't have access to alpaca.
Shredded Comfrey Leaves (common weed):Comfrey is the organic gardener's best friend. Its leaves are full of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium - and a variety of many other nutrients needed by growing plants. Comfrey Compost tea is an excellent way to provide an immediate nutrient boost to established plants. It is made by steeping fresh plant matter in water for a certain amount of time, straining the liquid, and using it to water stressed plants for a mid-season boost. [ Ссылка ] 2020)
Scoop of compost (will share recipe for this at a later date or via PM if you need to know asap):
Making compost tea is simple and quick and has three advantages for the garden. It's a gentle tonic for plants. It encourages microbial activity in the soil, helps to break down organic matter and releases nutrients for plants, and some of those micro-organisms protect plants against disease. (Abc.net.au/gardenning, 2007)
x1 Source of sugar (to feed microbes in tea): Either sugar cane stalks or molasses
x30Litres of spring fed water to make up tea
-We add all of these ingredients to a large barrel and then “brew” the tea for 48 hours with an air bubbler to provide plenty of oxygen to the billions of beneficial bacterias and microorganisms in the tea. Once brewed the tea can be applied to most fruit/vegetables/ornamentals. It keeps the soil healthier, which in turn makes the plants grow faster and helps prevent potential diseases/pests by providing a diverse range of “food” for your plants.
