The automatic filter plate shifting system shifts the individual or in a package related filter plates (patented sectional filter cake discharge) for emptying the filter press. For smaller filter presses, this is done manually, as experience has shown. For larger plate formats, however, the filter plate shifting is more difficult and requires a filter plate shifting device. The automatic plate shifter leads through to a significant ease of handling. The system works hydraulically and is controlled by the PLC in the control cabinet. For maximum protection, all functional components are mounted in a closed housing. For safety reasons, the automated plate shifting system is protected constructively by a light curtain. When entering the danger zone, the press shuts down according to legal requirements.
