he Bohol provincial government on Friday announced it will no longer require fully vaccinated travelers and returning residents to present a negative swab test result upon arrival on the island-province starting Oct. 25, 2021.
The announcement came following a steady decline in the number of COVID-19 cases in the province.
Bohol Gov. Arthur Yap, in his Executive Order No. 52, said non-vaccinated and partially-vaccinated individuals shall present a valid negative swab test result taken not more than 72 hours prior to their departure to Bohol.
Any individual caught using a fake swab test result will be asked to pay a fine of P5,000 and will be quarantined for five days in a quarantine facility accredited by the Department of Tourism at his/her own expense.
It added that the violator will be required to undergo swab testing on the fifth day and only when his/her result turns negative will he/she be released. All expenses incurred will be paid by the violator.
As of Oct. 22, Bohol has 508 active cases of COVID-19. Since the start of the pandemic, it has logged 19,485 total infections with 542 deaths.
